Listening Event Report

On May 9, 2015, seven local graduates of the Landmark Forum met in Gahanna, OH for two hours where we listened to the first hour of ‘Insights & Distinctions, Landmark Essays, Volume 1’, an AudioBook from Landmark Worldwide, presented by Nancy Zapolski, and Joe DiMaggio (this was neither an official event of Landmark Worldwide, nor an opportunity to register into the Landmark Forum).

The way it worked was that we’d listen to a segment from the audiobook, usually 10-15 minutes, then we’d stop and talk about the topic that was presented. Of course we looked at how the topic was relevant to our lives past and present and how we could use it in the future, but what moved me was that we all opened up and had authentic, vulnerable discussions about these things. The morning got us focused on what we’ve learned from the forum, gave us new material to think about, and created real genuine community. I’m looking forward to the next one.
